For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

Although their regular travels together ended in 2014's Signs and Wonders, through the magic of time travel these two new Doctor Who adventures occupy a space between previously released stories.

Firstly, the vintage TARDIS team encounters the infamous cursed sailing vessel, The Flying Dutchman, in a two-part story by Gemma Arrowsmith. Then they are trapped in a perfectly ordinary house where the normal rules of time do not apply, in Displaced, by Katharine Armitage

Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred and Philip Olivier star in Doctor Who: The Flying Dutchman / Displaced, now available to own as a collector's edition boxset (on CD at £14.99) and as a digital download (at £12.99) exclusively HERE!

The Flying Dutchman by Gemma Arrowsmith

The Doctor, Ace and Hex find themselves on a seemingly deserted boat in the middle of the ocean. Eventually locating the crew, they discover that the men have been in hiding to avoid the attack of the legendary ghost ship The Flying Dutchman that they’ve recently glimpsed approaching through the fog. But ghosts don’t exist. Do they?

Displaced by Katharine Armitage

The Doctor, Ace and Hex arrive inside a mystery. An ordinary house where something extraordinary is happening. There are no occupants, the doors are sealed, and someone - or something - is attempting to communicate. And when the TARDIS locks them out, Ace and Hex suspect the Doctor of his usual tricks.

But the truth is even more disturbing...

Writer Katharine Armitage said: “These three are so brilliant to write for because they’re all very playful (there’s always time for a decent bit of banter) but then they all have their murky depths and big hearts. Ace gets her ‘detective’ on and the Doctor is as tricksy as ever. Hex is really the one who holds them together in Displaced because it deals with themes he understands far better than the others.”

Writer Gemma Arrowsmith said: “Ace was my companion. I remember watching the last few episodes of Doctor Who go out before its cancellation. I have a faint memory of watching Survival while eating spaghetti bolognaise! I’m pretty sure that’s a real memory and not an invented one.

“Imagine how cool Ace is to an eight-year-old. She’s a teenager who gets to fly around in space and time. So, yep, I’m pretty excited I got to write for her.”
