Tad Collins, a man haunted by an unhappy childhood, is rich, arrogant and so terribly lonely.

Marie Olson, the tattooed lady, is haunted by a past that she has tried to escape.

Naturally, they hate each other.

But when a mysterious and sinister clown breaks into Collinwood to steal a book on the occult, Tad and Marie have to work together.

They don't realise, though, that the clown has plans for them both…

“It's very much a standalone story,” says co-producer Joseph Lidster, “it's more like an episode of Tales of the Unexpected really. A rich young man visits a circus and... well, to say any more would spoil it. Let's just say that nothing is as it seems.”

The 29th of September marked 50 years since Captain Scarlet was first broadcast on our TV screens, and Big Finish is honoured to continue the adventures of Spectrum in the 21st century. We also celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Prisoner, which shares an anniversary with Captain Scarlet (and the birthday of Big Finish chief, Nicholas Briggs!).
