On Tuesday Big Finish announced that the Eighth Doctor, Liv and Helen would all return in Ravenous, with the first series out in April 2018.
In the epic finale of Doom Coalition, the Doctor lost one of his companions. Helen Sinclair, an academic from 1960s England, was left trapped in time and space with the Eleven, a mad, homicidal Time Lord retaining the personalities of his previous multiple regenerations.
Now, the Eighth Doctor joined by Liv must hunt through time and space on two missions: to find their fallen companion and friend Helen, and to stop the Eleven by any means. But Helen isn’t the same person she was since we last saw her…

On Monday we looked at the return of River in The Diary of River Song series three. Former assassin, archaeologist, time-traveller and the Doctor’s wife, River Song (played by Alex Kingston) will confront her past in the third chapter of her solo series. Joining her is Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, helping River face off against the most evil midwife in Doctor Who history, Madame Kovarian (Frances Barber).
