What is included in each standard edition CD release?

This purchase option will include:
- The story itself on CD
- The standard extras (approx. 7 minutes long)
- A four-page booklet featuring standard cover art by Lee Johnson
- An alternate, era-specific version of the cover

All purchases of this release unlock a digital copy of the download release (below) that can be immediately downloaded or played on the Big Finish app from the release date.

What is included in each standard edition download release?

This purchase option will include:
- The story itself as a digital download
- Behind the scenes interviews (approx. 7 minutes long)
- A digital copy of the standard cover artwork by Lee Johnson
- A digital copy of the alternate, era-specific version of the cover

The standard edition stories of Once and Future can be purchased as individual releases or together in a bundle.

What is included in each special edition CD release? (NOW SOLD OUT)

This purchase option will include:
- The story itself on CD
- Extended Behind the Scenes interviews (approx. 15 minutes long)
- The special edition cover artwork by Lee Johnson featuring a foil-embossed logo*
- An eight-page fold-out booklet featuring author's notes and B-movie style poster art by Oliver Arkinstall-Jones for the story

The special edition CD collection is strictly limited to 3,000 pressings. All purchases of this release unlock a digital copy of the download release (below) that can be immediately downloaded or played on the Big Finish app from the release date.

*UPDATE: 09 JUNE 2023. We are aware that the CD packaging for Once and Future: Past Lives special edition is not as originally advertised. We are working on getting replacement sleeves featuring an embossed logo and numbering. We apologise for the inconvenience and the further delays in shipping this product. Please bear with us while we rectify this mistake.

*UPDATE: 24 JULY 2023. The overdue outer sleeves for Once and Future: Past Lives special edition have now been delivered to the Big Finish warehouse. These will be shipped (to all customers who ordered the special edition CD series) along with copies of the next CD, Once and Future: The Artist at the End of Time special edition, once these too have been received at our warehouse. Again, we apologise for the ongoing delays to the fulfilment of physical product orders, which are due to factors beyond our control. 

*UPDATE: 08 SEPTEMBER 2023. After many months of delays, we have now received  Once and Future: The Artist at the End of Time special edition and Once and Future: A Genius for War special edition at the Big Finish warehouse. From today, our team will begin to ship both these CDs, plus the outer sleeve for Once and Future: Past Lives special edition to the 3,000 patient customers who pre-orered the set. Please bear with us over the next few days while we undertake this. 

*UPDATE: 22 SEPTEMBER 2023. We have been made aware of a number of defects in the special edition sleeves already shipped to customers, including missing numbering and flaking foil on the logo. This does not meet the high standards we expect of our products. We have contacted the supplier, explaining this is unacceptable, and they have agreed to correct the issues and reprint these sleeves.

The sleeve replacements (for Past Lives, The Artist at the End of Time and A Genius for War) will be shipped along with the special edition CDs of Two's Company and The Martian Invasion of Planetoid 50, once these have been received at our warehouse.

*UPDATE: 10 NOVEMBER 2023. The replacement sleeves for Past Lives, The Artist at the End of Time and A Genius for War have now been received at our warehouse, along with the special edition CDs of Two's Company and The Martian Invasion of Planetoid 50. This stock will now be shipped to all 3,000 customers who pre-ordered the set. Apologies again for the continued delays. 

*UPDATE: 10 JANUARY 2024. Unfortunately, neither the collector's edition nor the special edition CDs of parts 6 (Time Lord Immemorial) and 7 (The Union) have yet been delivered to the Big Finish warehouse. When they arrive, we will do our utmost to send them out as quickly as possible. 

*UPDATE: 21 MARCH 2024. The special edition CD box sets of Time Lord Immemorial and The Union have now been received at our warehouse. This stock will now be shipped to the 3,000 extremely patient customers who pre-ordered the series over a year ago. Please accept our sincere apologies for the extreme delays in fulfilling these orders. 

What is included in each special edition download release?

This purchase option will include:
- The story itself as a digital download
- Extended Behind the Scenes interviews (approx. 15 minutes long as per the CD, with access to an edit of the Extended Behind the Scenes interviews as a bonus download, featuring up to 30 minutes of additional content.)
- A digital copy of the special edition cover artwork by Lee Johnson 
- A digital copy of the standard cover artwork by Lee Johnson
- Music suite as a bonus download

Note: the special edition of Once and Future can only be purchased as a complete series bundle.

Is the standard edition art included in the special edition release?

The standard edition artwork is included with the special edition download release.

Do you have to get the bundle of the special edition releases? 

Yes, the special edition versions of the stories are only available to purchase together in a bundle. However, the standard version of each story is available to purchase separately.

What are the bonus artworks in the special edition release?

The bonus artworks are specially-commissioned B-movie style poster artworks by Oliver Arkinstall-Jones to illustrate each of the stories in Doctor Who: Once and Future.

Will the bonus artworks be included as part of the special edition download?

No. The artworks are only available to those who purchase the special edition CD bundle. (NOW SOLD OUT)

Is there a limited number of CDs available?

The special edition CD bundle is NOW SOLD OUT.

You can still purchase a download bundle of all eight special edition audio adventures for just £62 (digital download only).

The standard bundle is available to purchase for just £72 (collector’s edition CD box set and download) or £60 (download only). Big Finish listeners can also purchase each of the eight stories separately as a standard single-disc collector’s edition CD (+ download for just £10.99) or digital download only, (for just £8.99).

Will I get each CD as it's released, or all together in one bundle in November 2024?

If you've ordered the CD bundle option for either the standard or special editions, you will be sent each CD as soon as we receive our stock at the warehouse, not all as one bundle in November 2024, but this may be some time after the release of the download on our website.

We are not able to guarantee the status of local mail or postal services once orders leave our warehouse. We anticipate some delays, particularly for overseas customers, but we are working hard to fulfil all physical orders as quickly as possible.

Is a special slipcase/box which holds all the CDs available?

There are currently no plans to create a slipcase for the series.
