Nearly the End for Doctor Who Special Offers
There are just two weeks left in which to take advantage of our Doctor Who Special Releases offer which will end when the year does. And the bundle includes Doctor Who: Dark Eyes, a story recently described by SciFiNow magazine thus: "as emotional and rewarding as anything on TV."
Comprising five releases and fifteen discs of material, the Doctor Who Special Releases bundle is still available at the low price of £65 for CDs and £55 for downloads. The releases are as follows:
A huge story with a twist in the tale, it finds the Seventh Doctor and Raine fighting back a series of extra-dimensional incursions on Earth, ably supported by the forces of UNIT. But also on hand is the organisation's new scientific advisor, Dr Elizabeth Klein, who doesn't realise the history she shares with the Doctor, and the Other Doctor, a future incarnation of the Time Lord who has his own stake in what's going on. The story unfolds over four discs, with a behind-the-scenes CD completing the collection. Starring Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor from 1987-1989, plus the TV Movie), Beth Chalmers, Tracey Childs and Alex Macqueen.
His life shaken by recent events, the Eighth Doctor is sent on a mission which promises to restore his faith in the peoples of the universe and offer him some hope. What he finds, in the trenches of the First World War, is dark-eyed Voluntary Aid Detachment worker Molly O'Sullivan, a squad of Daleks and a plan a long time in the making. This epic tale is told over four discs, with a 'making of' CD included. Starring Paul McGann (the Eighth Doctor from the 1996 TV Movie), Ruth Bradley, Toby Jones and Peter Egan, with Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks. Highly acclaimed, it recently received a five-star review in SciFiNow magazine, which said it was a 'Must Hear Now' release.
Offered the trip of a lifetime, Jago & Litefoot find themselves in the company of the Sixth Doctor. Arriving in the same solar system but far in the future, the Doctor, Jago and Litefoot find themselves at the mercy of the strange creatures which inhabit Venus, most notably a group of warrior women who live in a city in the clouds. A single-disc release, it's available for only £5, and the download for a single pound! Starring Colin Baker (the Sixth Doctor on TV from 1984-1986) alongside Christopher Benjamin and Trevor Baxter, reprising their roles as Jago & Litefoot from 1977 TV tale The Talons of Weng-Chiang.
Doctor Who: Voyage to the New World
The second of the Sixth Doctor, Jago and Litefoot's TARDIS trips finds the trio travelling to Roanoke Island in 1590, where they're about to learn the secret of the local ghostly children and the meaning of the word 'croatoan' - but it may spell the end for Jago! A single disc, Doctor Who: Voyage to the New World is also available as a £5 CD or £1 download. Starring Colin Baker, Christopher Benjamin and Trevor Baxter.
In an adaptation of the classic Virgin New Adventures novel, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visit the planet Heaven, where they meet archaeologist Bernice Summerfield for the first time and Ace discovers that there may be more to life than travelling in the TARDIS. A hard-hitting tale, it's told across two discs, plus a third containing a prelude and a look behind the scenes. It stars Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred and Lisa Bowerman. It landed a four-star review and 'Must Hear Now' flag in SciFiNow magazine.
Remember: all of these titles are available to buy at special low prices, and as part of our bundle offer - and it ends as the year closes on 31st December!
