It’s with delight and celebration that we’ve woken this morning to hear  that Sheridan Smith – Big Finish’s very own Lucie Miller – has been awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours List!

And Big Finish are celebrating with extra New Year offer on her very first apperance - Doctor Who: Blood of the Daleks Part 1 and Part 2 for just £2.99 each on download!

Sheridan is being honoured for her services to entertainment, which have included roles in such diverse productions as Cilla, Jonathan Creek and Mrs Biggs, with stage appearances in the award winning 2011 version of Terrance Rattigan’s Flare Path, as well as Legally Blond and Little Shop of Horrors.  But Big Finish fans will of course know her for her fantastic work as Lucie Miller, stalwart companion in all four series of Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor Adventures.  

Sheridan isn’t the only Doctor Who name on the list either; 50^th Anniversary War Doctor and living legend John Hurt will receive a Knighthood, whilst occasional flat mate of the Eleventh Doctor James Corden will also be recieving an OBE. The Hungry Earth actress Meera Syal will also be made a CBE.

Congratulations once again to Sheridan on her fantastic achievement!
