Reviews

A varied mix of unusual, contemporary SF and ice-cold post-war espionage, it’s got great scripts, production and performances especially from Noonan and Cornelius. Impressive, complex and fun. 9/10

Sci-Fi Bulletin

The Incherton Incident is the best story to feature Stephen Noonan thus far as the First Doctor, and here’s where it feels like he’s genuinely settled back into the role. 10/10.

Indie Mac User

This is a really good box set. I've been watching a lot of William Hartnell stories recently, and this fits right in in terms of Stephen Noonan's portrayal, the type of stories and the vibes.

Mr TARDIS

I really love the pairing of Noonan and Cornelius, and look forward to seeing where Big Finish take them next. For now, though, we’re left with a tantalising cliffhanger, and the promise of more adventures soon. Recommended. 3.5/5

Who-Review

With their mix of sixties characters and modern sensibilities, The Demon Song and The Incherton Incident are more than worthy follow-ups to last year's The Outlaws. Both stories bring the late First Doctor era to life wonderfully, from the scripts to the performances of Noonan and Cornelius. In their hands, and those of producer Mark Wright, the First Doctor seems set to wander through the fourth dimension for a while yet.

Warped Factor

If you are [a Doctor Who fan] open to the concept of recasting, then give this series a go. This may become your new favourite era of Doctor Who.
