Juliet Landau, Mara Wilson and Alimi Ballard star in three brand-new spooky stories – Vam PD: Volume Two, a box set of full-cast audio drama, is available now.
Vampires live their lives by rules – but who polices them? Welcome to the Office of The Night, where vampires Catrin and Magnus keep an uneasy peace between the living and the undead.
Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) stars alongside Mara Wilson (Matilda) and Alimi Ballard (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) in Big Finish Productions’ original horror series Vam PD.
The surprise ending of October 2024’s Volume One may have shaken things up in the vampire world, but there are still crimes to be solved.
In Volume Two, vampire cops Catrin (Landau) and Magnus (Ballard), along with their human liaison Jane (Wilson), deal with rule-breaking vampire cleaners and an underworld reality show like no other. Then an investigation threatens to expose the secrets of the Office of the Night.
Vam PD: Volume Two is now available to own as a digital download for just £18.99, exclusively here.
The three episodes to get your fangs into are:
The Last Post by Rochana Patel & David Smith
Oleanna wakes up to find she’s posted a photo of a breakfast she didn't have. Worse, she's locked out of all her social media accounts. And then a vampire appears at her door and tells her she's going to die today.
Cleaning up after victims is an unglamorous job that the Office of the Night has long outsourced – this used to just be bills and faked suicide letters, but the group has gone rogue and is now arranging the deaths of people who aren’t even dead yet.
Sunlight and Bleach by Aaron Lamont
He's been investigating a corrupt deal between the government and vampires. Can such a thing even exist? Are vampires even real? What is going on?
One man sets out to expose the Office of the Night. It's time to shine a little light on this grubby deal. The problem is that vampires don't like the sunlight.
Dracula Batchelor by Ash Darby
Sometimes killing is easy. Never underestimate human vanity and stupidity. People will always sign up for a reality TV show. Especially one that offers the winner immortality. Of course, there's always a catch. If this show is so successful, why has no-one ever seen it?
Vam PD: Volume Two also stars Warren Brown (Strike Back) as Orhan, as well as Ali Bastian, Jim Caesar, Andrew Collins, Lauren Cornelius, Anna Crichlow, Jon Culshaw, Helen Goldwyn, Dev Joshi, Jade Matthew, Mathew McQuinn, David O'Mahony, Robert Rackstraw, John Schwab and Lizzie Worsdell.
Lead actor Juliet Landau said: “Recording Volume Two was so much fun. It was very free and fluid. The characters are so distinct. The relationships of the trio are very strong.”
Her co-star Mara Wilson added: “Jane has to deal with the consequences of being a human that has partnered with vampires. She has seen people be killed in front of her. She has seen all kinds of violent things happen. And she also contains multitudes. There is so much to her, and as you’ll find out, there’s a lot that she is hiding.”
And Alimi Ballard said: “I would describe Vam PD as a bloody soap opera mixed with a bit of CSI, mixed with a bit of Jason Bourne, mixed with a bit of coming of age and finding yourself. Like Steel Magnolias, but with blood! Magnus differs from every role I have ever played before, not only because he’s a vampire, but he’s also so unique in a way that’s deliciously complicated.”
Big Finish listeners can save money by purchasing the first two volumes of Vam PD together in a download to own multibuy bundle for just £36, exclusively here.
For a strictly limited time, Volume One of Vam PD is on sale as part of the Vampire Sale. Hurry! These offers end at 23:59 (UK time) on 14 February 2025.
