We have so many brilliant writers at Big Finish, but the way Lisa can ground it, and then her poetic ability to inhabit the aliens, is so exciting – it’s almost like playing knockabout comedy and then having to do grandstanding Shakespeare. So atmospheric and then funny. There’s great cheek and great scale to what Lisa can do. It was such a joy recording this one.” 

Billie Piper added: “One of the reasons I really liked this episode is because it has a very clever take on compulsions and intrusive thoughts. It seems to be pulling apart and undressing mental health issues in a sci-fi way, which I really, really appreciate, and I think a lot of people connect to.” 

Camille Coduri agreed: “Yes, it really does kick into the home truths, doesn’t it, Dare You? Which I loved because Jackie does say what she feels a lot of the time anyway, and now she’s getting her karma back! I loved it when I read it, and I thought, well, this is so creepy.”
