The third volume of the acclaimed re-imagining of the classic ITV series, The Prisoner is due for release in May 2019. To celebrate, you can pick up The Prisoner comic - created by Titan Comics with a Big Finish makeover!
The third volume of The Prisoner, the audio production based on the original 1967 ITV series in which a resigned secret agent is tested to his limits by the occupants of the Village, is coming out next year.
The cult TV series is also being featured in a brand new four-part comic series by writer Peter Milligan and artist Colin Lorimer. Timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first US transmission of The Prisoner, this new comic will transport readers back to the mysterious village where everybody is a number and no one is free.
In collaboration with Titan Comics, a Big Finish exclusive variant of the cover of the first issue of the comic has been created by Big Finish designer Mark Plastow, featuring Mark Elstob – the actor who plays Number Six in Big Finish’s Prisoner productions.

Executive producer and number one of The Prisoner audio adventures, Nicholas Briggs, tells us more about returning to the Village thrice: “It’s exciting and terrifying in equal measure to be heading back to the Village. The power of the iconic original TV series was its ability always to challenge, do the unexpected and keep you guessing. That’s our self-imposed brief this time. And given that all of us involved have been bowled over and humbled by the warmth and enthusiasm of listeners and reviewers alike, the pressure is on. But, just like Number Six, we’re determined to rise to the challenge!
“It’s particularly gratifying that Titan Comics decided to embrace the Big Finish version of The Prisoner by publishing this new variant featuring our brilliant Mark Elstob as Number Six. And anyone pre-ordering Volume 3 from us before the end of July 2018 will get a copy of this comic edition for free — but only while stocks last!”
The Prisoner Volume Three, made in arrangement with ITV Studios Global Entertainment, will be written and directed by Nicholas Briggs, the script editor will be Jamie Anderson and producer, Scott Handcock.
The Prisoner Volume 3 is available for pre-order at £25.00 on CD or £20.00 on download or as a bundle. And if you place your pre-order before the end of July this year, you’ll get a free copy of Titan Comics’ The Prisoner with the exclusive, special cover art featuring Mark Elstob as Number Six (with a small charge for shipping and only whilst stocks last).
The Prisoner comic will also be available separately at £5 from the Big Finish website.
