Emotions run high as Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor and his new friends explore what it means to be human in three powerfully poignant full-cast audio dramas. 

As well as the previously announced Hayley Tamaddon and Wendy Craig CBE, the glittering cast includes Indigo Griffiths (Still So Awkward), Leah Brotherhead (Hullraisers) and, making his Big Finish debut, Ian Bartholomew (Coronation Street).

Auld Lang Syne by Tim Foley 

Every December, Mandy Litherland gathers the family at Foulds House to see in the New Year. Not everyone appreciates her efforts. At least the caretaker seems friendly -if a little weird. 

Mandy hopes she’ll see him again next year –but perhaps she already has... 

Script editor Matt Fitton said: “After the big arc of the last series we’ve gone for more standalone stories dotted across the whole run. We did a bit of rejigging between volumes as there were various ways we could order them but I thought it would be nice to have a set themed around visits to Earth, and the human connections the Doctor makes.” 

Christopher Eccleston added: “I always connected with the Doctor’s love for humanity, even though he refers to them every so often as ‘stupid apes’. I think it was a very clever device to give this alien with two hearts a fascination and concern for the human race and their funny little customs.”
