We were delighted to announce this week that David Bradley will be reprising his role in a new set of stories for a very familiar, yet very new, Doctor.

The First Doctor Adventures pays homage to the beginning years of Doctor Who, and each of the four episodes in each story will be given an individual title. Joining David Bradley are his co-stars from An Adventure in Space and Time reprising their roles as the iconic first TARDIS team. Jamie Glover plays Ian Chesterton, Jemma Powell plays Barbara Wright, and Claudia Grant plays Susan. And in a Big Finish exclusive, the First Doctor will encounter his greatest foe, the first incarnation of fellow Time Lord, the Master, played by James Dreyfus.

On Monday we looked at the Captain Scarlet stories, coming to Big Finish in the coming weeks. Three new tales from the world of Captain Scarlet are coming in The Spectrum Files, written by John Theydon. Taken from three novels released in 1967, the same year as the original series of Captain Scarlet, The Spectrum Files have come to life with the vocal talents of Wayne Forester and Liz Morgan and narrated by David Graham. And don't forget about the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Deluxe boxset for Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, out this month!

Tuesday had a bonanza of Doctor Who treats, with the release of two Main Range titles. The explosive finale of the sixth series of The Fourth Doctor Adventures arrived Wednesay. Tom Baker and Lalla Ward join each other for one last adventure against the Time Lords on the planet Funderall... but who will win, and who will survive? Continuing from last month’s The Skin of the Sleek, The Fourth Doctor and Romana II come together for one last adventure in The Thief Who Stole Time.

And kicking off the fourth series of The Early Adventures, The Night Witches, out Thursday, takes the Second Doctor, Ben, Polly and Jamie to the skies of Stalingrad. Starring Anneke Wills and Frazer Hines, this Early Adventures Story puts the Second Doctor back to the Second World War, and puts Polly in centre stage. Can the TARDIS team survive one of the most deadly conflicts in human history?

On Saturday, the cover art for this new take on the literary classic King Lear, coming soon. Plus we interviewed Lisa Bowerman, who plays Regan in this Shakespeare classic.

For podcast fans, Nick and Benji guest star with Lisa Bowerman (Bernice Summerfield) and there is a Drama tease of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. And Toby Hadoke turns the tables on someone who spent much of his screen time on Doctor Who being the one who asks the hard questions…
