Fans of cult TV will be ony too aware of missing episodes - lost moments of classic television which may never be seen again. The 1961 series of TV classic The Avengers is just such a case: the beginning of a huge TV legend now virtually absent from the archives.

In early 2014, Big Finish embarked on a quest to recreate the entire first series of The Avengers episodes based on surviving materials - which ranged from stills and scripts, to TV listings and detective work! Writer John Dorney even recently guested at a Missing Presumed Wiped event to talk about the epic work involved in bringing these lost stories to audio life.
