River vs Robots!
Due for release in January 2021, Alex Kingston stars in The Diary of River Song series eight – four new full-cast audio dramas featuring the Doctor’s wife on her travels through time and space.
Time-travelling archaeologist and adventurer River Song has met many of the Doctor’s incarnations on screen, plus even more in audio, and in this latest series she will run into a few more characters very familiar to Big Finish Doctor Who listeners.
As exclusively revealed in Doctor Who Magazine issue 555 (in shops from 20 August 2020), Alex Kingston is back in The Diary of River Song series eight alongside Salome Haertel (as android Rachel), Derek Griffiths (as 24th century war criminal, Annam Henic), John Leeson (as the Doctor’s favourite robot dog, K9) Tracy Wiles (as robot cat, FE-LINE) and Nicholas Briggs as The Mechonoids.
Plus, in a spectacular return to the Worlds of Doctor Who, Big Finish regular Jane Slavin reprises the role of Anya Kingdom, Space Security Service officer, who this time is on a rescue mission with a difference.
