Nicola Walker - As Seen on TV
One of the stars of our brand new blockbuster Doctor Who: Doom Coalition is back on TV screens on Tuesday night - in the second of her two new series!
Since debuting as the daring Liv Chenka in Doctor Who: Robophobia, Nicola Walker has gone on to star in some our favourite productions, including Last Tango in Halifax, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and A View from the Bridge. On Tuesday, Nicola stars in a brand new prime-time drama – and it's her second one this month!
River sees Nicola star as Detective Sergeant Jackie “Steve” Stevenson, who aids brilliant detective John River (Stellan Skarsgård – Marvel's Avengers Assemble, In Order of Disappearance, Good Will Hunting) in investigating a series of gruesome murders - even though she's already been killed! The series has been written by Abi Morgan (Shame, The Hour, The Iron Lady) and explores mental health issues, with an emphasis on how society responds to them. You can watch the new series tonight at 9pm on BBC1 – check out a trailer below.
Then on Thursday evenings, you can watch Nicola in her other police role as DCI Cassie Stuart in ITV's Unforgotten. This gripping new six-part drama sees the police pick up the trail of a young man's murder 39 years ago, and co-stars Sanjeev Bhaskar (Goodness Gracious Me, Doctor Who: Death in Heaven, Doctor Who: The Eight Truths/Worldwide Web). You can catch up with Episode 1 now, or check out an extended preview below.
Nicola returns as Liv Chenka in Doctor Who: Doom Coalition 1, our brand new Eighth Doctor box-set, available to buy and download today! She's starring alongside Paul McGann, Hattie Morahan and Mark Bonnar in a five-disc set that puts the TARDIS crew on the trail of the Eleven, an insane Time Lord criminal with dreams of universal chaos! The series continues with Doctor Who: Doom Coalition 2 in March 2016 – and you can catch up with Liv's adventures so far with Doctor Who: Robophobia and the Doctor Who: Dark Eyes saga.
