Dorian Goes Fourth
Coinciding with his appearance in The Worlds of Big Finish, Big Finish Productions is pleased to reveal casting and story details for the fourth series of The Confessions of Dorian Gray, starring Alexander Vlahos!
Inspired by Oscar Wilde's classic story of hedonism and corruption, The Confessions of Dorian Gray imagines a world where Dorian Gray was real, and his friendship with Oscar Wilde once spawned the notorious novel.
‘Series four reverts to the format of the first two series,’ explains series creator and director Scott Handcock, ‘as we return for a brand-new series of eight half-hour episodes. We’re delving back into Dorian’s past again, exploring his early years right through to the present day, and we’ve a host of brilliant stories to share - from a fantastic team of writers, old and new!’
Writers for The Confessions of Dorian Gray: Series 4 include newcomers Sam Stone, George Mann, Mark B. Oliver and Matt Fitton, alongside established contributors Roy Gill, James Goss, Xanna Eve Chown and David Llewellyn.
The guest cast includes Anthony Howell, Katherine Pearce, Raj Ghatak, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Laura Riseborough and Aaron Neil plus a number of faces familiar to Doctor Who fans, including Sakuntala Ramanee (Survival), Ayesha Antoine (Midnight), Jacqueline King (Donna Noble’s mother, Sylvia), Bruno Langley (Ninth Doctor Companion Adam Mitchell), Yasmin Bannerman (Seventh Doctor companion Roz Forrestor) and John Sessions (Mummy on the Orient Express).
The eight-episode series is due for release in November can be pre-ordered now on CD (£20) and Download (£18), and will also include a bonus disc of behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew.
A two-disc Christmas special - The Spirits of Christmas - follows in December and is available to pre-order now.
