Class volumes three and four are out now!
We may be living in lockdown but it’s back to school for some. Two thrilling new volumes of Class: The Audio Adventures are out now!
Although the 2016 TV series, originally created by Patrick Ness for BBC Three, ran for just eight episodes, Big Finish’s fantastic Class audio spin-off is keeping the staff and classmates of Coal Hill Academy busy with another six adventures, released today.
Class volumes three and four are available to own now at £19.99 each as a limited edition CD box set (only 1,000 will be pressed of each volume) or £16.99 each on download.
Each volume contains three new stories each as follows.
The Soers’ Ditch by Carl Rowens
Catfish by Kate Thorman
Sweet Nothings by Michael Dennis
Mock by Alfie Shaw
The Creeper by Lizzie Hopley
Queen of Rhodia by Blair Mowat
Class stars Greg Austin (playing Charlie Smith), Sophie Hopkins (April MacLean), Fady Elsayed (Ram Singh), Jordan Renzo (Matteusz Andrzejewski) and Joanna McGibbon (Tanya Adeola).
And Dervla Kirwan joins the cast as Miss Quill, a part previously portrayed by Katherine Kelly. Kirwan will already be familiar to Doctor Who fans, as she appeared in the 2008 Christmas special, The Next Doctor, playing the ruthless Miss Hartigan.
Actor Dervla Kirwan, said: “I'm a bit of a sci-fi geek. I just love doing jobs like this because it's the imagination of the writing that really excites me. So to get to play this incredible, uncompromising super-bitch is very liberating, fun and spontaneous.
“As a people-pleaser, it's really lovely to play someone who is completely not that. Someone who is so literally unapologetic about who they are - or if they make people uncomfortable - that's so liberating. The sheer audacity of the woman! It was deeply empowering to play a woman who really didn't care.”
Class volumes three and four are available to own now at £19.99 each as a limited edition CD box set (only 1,000 will be pressed of each volume) or £16.99 each on download from the Big Finish website. Both volumes will remain at this price until general release when they will be available for £24.99 on CD or £19.99 on download.
Both volumes can also be purchased as a bundle together from as little as £38 as a limited edition CD and £28 on download. All CD purchases unlock a download option via the Big Finish app and the Big Finish website.
Plus, for a limited time, Big Finish listeners can also download Class volumes one and two with a discount of 33% off: https://www.bigfinish.com/ranges/v/class. This offer expires at 23:59 (UK time) 3 May 2020.
