Charlotte "Charley" Pollard, as played by India Fisher, has proved one of the most enduring and popular Big Finish creations, meeting the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) in his very first Big Finish adventure Doctor Who - Storm Warning, and then travelling with him for many thrilling adventures. When the time came for them to part ways, Charley wasn't finished with the Doctor, and from Doctor Who - The Condemned spent a complicated time in the company of the Sixth Doctor, before finally ending up on her own.

In 2014, she embarked on a series of her own adventures, working for the mysterious alien Viyrans, and was joined on her travels by would-be adventurer Robert Buchan (James Joyce) who returns to the second series.

“I was really thrilled with series one and I was genuinely touched by people’s reaction to it,” says India. “It’s nice to be back, and I don’t think people will be disappointed. It is, dare I say it, even better than the first series. Well worth the wait!”

Joining India and James are Dan Starkey (Strax in Doctor Who) as the Rogue Viyran ‘Bertram’, Deirdre Mullins (The Frankenstein Chronicles, Man Down) as Naomi Davies, Pippa Haywood (Scott & Bailey, Green Wing) as the Prime Minister, and Colin McFarlane (Doctor Who: Before the Flood/Under the Lake, Torchwood: Children of Earth) as the Identical Men.

“I love Charley and India,” says writer/director Nicholas Briggs, “so it’s been a real pleasure to bring this second series to life. It’s very different in tone from the first series. It’s a full-length epic adventure over four, hour-long episodes, dealing with very dark issues — although there’s a healthy dose of fantastical, sci-fi adventure in there too. But it all starts in the dark tunnels of Embankment Station…”

Kieran Hodgson, Ashley Kumar, Rachel Atkins, Karen Henson, Gary Turner, Ben Crowe and Glen McCready also guest star.
