Andy Davidson's been ordered to watch over a local businessman. Everything's always gone right for him, and Andy’s long wondered why.
Owen joins him on the stake-out. He knows something – the businessman's attracted Torchwood’s attention, and tonight, the two of them are going to take him down. But will luck be on their side?
Writer and Torchwood producer James Goss said: “This was our first Torchwood planned for lockdown, and it was an utterly lovely recording with Tom Price and Burn Gorman. It's slightly more light-hearted than their previous outings (Corpse Day and The Hope) in that it starts off as quite a gentle satire and ends up as an epic chase across Cardiff. With a toy monkey.
“There’s also stuff about IT scandals and how their tiny errors ruin the lives of ‘small’ people. Part of it was inspired by the utterly appalling computer system that ended up putting people running small post offices in jail for accounting errors the system itself was creating.”
Actor Burn Gorman added: “It’s nice to be back with what is currently becoming one of the world’s best and most desired double acts. There's Abbott and Costello, Scooby Doo and Shaggy and now PC Andy and Owen Harper.”
