The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield: The Eternity Club is a series of four full-cast audio drama releases, each comprising two half-hour episodes. 

In the first two stories, released today, Benny settles into her new surroundings before venturing out on an archaeological mission led by a Drahvin queen.

The Eternity Club stars Lisa Bowerman as Professor Bernice Summerfield, a role she’s played for Big Finish Productions since 1998. Nickolas Grace (Brideshead Revisited) plays the officious Secretary Pym, and Niamh Cusack (The Tower) plays the secretive Oldest. 

Actor Lisa Bowerman said: “The Eternity Club is a mirror of those old gentlemen’s clubs in London, but in this case, it is actually the universe's most exclusive club for explorers. Benny finds herself in this club with all its hierarchies and its traditions, and she's still the outsider.   

“So, across this series, she tries to solve a problem for every single one of the club members who she thinks hates her, to get through to them. They cover the gamut of personalities, all played by a fantastic guest cast.” 

The cast also includes Dan Starkey as Starll, a Sontaran; Simon Kane as 312, a miserable robot; Naana Agyei-Ampadu as Grizella, a Drahvin queen; Shai Matheson as Professor Altazar, a Draconian; Victoria Gee as the Suspension of Geren, a gossipy gas; Derek Elroy as Derek, a tree; Dianne Pilkington as the nurse; and David O'Mahony as the butlers.
