Spoiler-phobes look away now! The conclusion of November's Eighth Doctor Adventures box set, Audacity, ended as the Doctor (Paul McGann) and his new companion, Lady Audacity Montague (Jaye Griffiths), decided to take a break. When the TARDIS materialised at a Tibetan monastery, they were met by his friend Charlotte 'Charley' Pollard. 

India Fisher first played the self-styled Edwardian Adventuress in 2001's Storm Warning, when Paul McGann also made his debut on audio. Now she returns as Charley, back in time for Christmas in a brand-new box set which features three full-cast audio adventures set during the festive season.

The TARDIS brings the travellers to Victorian Edinburgh. Industrialist Donald Shaw plans to transform the city with electric light, but people are dying, found horribly burned... What ancient power has Shaw summoned? Can the Doctor and co. prevent the Winter of the Demon?  

India Fisher said: “Lady Audacity Montague – what a great name! I've come in at the end of this team’s first three episodes together, and we're all together in a Christmas-y box set. Jaye Griffiths, who plays Audacity, is just magnificent, and we make each other laugh far too much!  

“As characters, Charley and Audacity have bonded very quickly, perhaps because they've very similar – they're both quite prim, they're quite forthright, but have a sisterly love between them, looking out for each other.” 

Jaye Griffiths added: “Audacity has gone off to see the universe with the Doctor to see the universe, and all of a sudden, she is introduced to Charley, this other woman who's very modern and yet vulnerable.  

“It's been wonderful. India makes me laugh so much, we've had a great time in studio together. These are great stories.”  

Producer David Richardson said: "I’m a big fan of having two companions. The trick is finding two characters who belong together and Audacity and Charley really do. What we couldn’t have planned for, of course, was how much Jaye and India belong together – they came into the studio on that first day and were instant best friends. It was lovely to watch. They were practically begging me to let them do more together!" 

The incredible cast assembled for these audio adventures also includes Nickolas Grace (Robin of Sherwood, Brideshead Revisited), Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street, Ideal) and Jason Watkins (W1A, McDonald and Dodds).
