The Eleventh Doctor, as played on screen by Matt Smith from 2010 to 2013, will return in 2026 for a brand-new series of full-cast audio adventures, with Miles Taylor stepping in to voice the Doctor. 

But he won’t be alone – a new companion, Eleanor Fong, is set to board the TARDIS. Eleanor will be played by Jasmine Bayes, who Doctor Who fans will recognise from her role as Corporal Alice Sullivan in the 2024 TV episodes The Legend of Ruby Sunday and Empire of Death. 

The Eleventh Doctor Adventures will begin with The First Question, a box set of three thrilling episodes. After the Doctor has an explosive first meeting with Eleanor in Hong Kong at the end of the twentieth century, he takes her to the futuristic resort of Space Florida, and then Massachusetts at a dark time in history.

Doctor who? The universe has forgotten the Doctor, or so the Doctor hopes. But there are still adventures to be had, evil to be fought, and lives to save. From 1990s Hong Kong, to the depths of space in the far future, and back in time to the Salem witch trials, the Doctor stands firm in his opposition to tyranny and injustice.

The three episodes in this box set are directed by Big Finish creative director Nicholas Briggs, who said: “We had a long, long search for a new Eleventh Doctor voice. We heard many auditions. Then someone pointed us in the direction of Miles, so we auditioned him, and he was truly marvellous in the role. 

“Shortly after that, we started casting for his companion, Eleanor Fong. Jasmine gave a brilliant audition and is a big fan of the show, so she seemed a perfect fit. The two of them instantly got on in studio, and by the end of the first block, they were quite a team. 

“I can’t emphasise enough what a pleasure it was to work with them both. They were really excited and worked extremely hard to make every scene as good as it could possibly be.”
