Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant star in The Lost Stories: The Collected Sixth Doctor 1, a digital collected edition of full-cast audio dramas, released today.
In 1985, Doctor Who went on hiatus following the broadcast of Season 22, and though the series eventually returned in late 1986 with The Trial of a Time Lord, many planned stories had never made it to production.
This changed in 2009, when Big Finish Productions began the audio drama range Doctor Who – The Lost Stories with a series of adaptations of never-filmed Sixth Doctor stories, including ideas that had been pitched for Season 22 and ones that had been planned for Season 23 before the hiatus.
Together, these eight stories formed a brand-new season of ‘missing’ adventures for the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) and his companion Peri (Nicola Bryant). Now, for the first time, the adventures are available in a single collected package.
Doctor Who – The Lost Stories: The Collected Sixth Doctor 1 is now available to purchase exclusively from the Big Finish website, as a digital download to own, for just £44.99.
The stories in this collection include:

On recording these stories in 2009, lead actor Colin Baker said: “The journey has been fantastic. There’s always been that question of what would it have been? Back then, we were deprived from doing some stories we did know about, and some stories we didn’t know about for various reasons. They all give a flavour of how the Doctor and Peri might have been in that great missing year. And some of these stories are superior to the ones we did do on TV!”
His co-star Nicola Bryant agreed: “There’s some very strong scripts, some of them have been wonderful surprises, and it’s been amazing to be able to bring them all to life.”
