And just before the next of the
Weekly BF Podcast next week (Monday to be precise)... A special, extra bit of podcasting from the Big Finish team.
Nick Briggs and
David Richardson chat to
Katy Manning about her upcoming
Short Trips and about her
Companion Chronicles (as Third Doctor companion
Jo Grant) and, of course, her exciting adventures as the irrepressible
Iris Wildthyme!
Katy is on fine form and there are far too many laughs along the way.

It's the second of our weekly podcasts. The Jury is out on whether or not listeners prefer the weekly format. Some of you have commented that the shorter podcasts don't leave enough time for the silliness. So, we'll try to put some more in!
Anyway, it's
Nicholas Briggs,
David Richardson and
Paul Spragg with special guest
Lisa Bowerman (speaking about the latest series of the
The Adventures of Bernice Summerfield). There's news of the new Benny animation too, and its big screen premiere.
It's free and you can easily download it or stream it by using the controls slightly to the left of this item.
And there'll be a new competition coming up in two weeks' time.

The latest Big Finish Podcast has arrived. Some things never change... but other things do!
Nick Briggs,
David Richardson and
Paul Spragg are back at their desks, with microphones in front of them... But! This time, it's a shorter podcast, but that's only because there's going to be another one along next week!
Yes, the podcasts have gone weekly, at least for the next four weeks. Many of you have commented that an hour-long podcast is a bit hard to digest in one go, so we've reformatted our approach, to give you 15-20 minutes (... ish) every week for the next four weeks. Let us know what you think.
In the first podcast, we cover
The Lost Stories Season 2. There are clips and there are also some Big Finish 'Burning Issues' (a new semi-regular item). In the following podcasts over the next four weeks, we'll be covering
Bernice Summerfield, the September
Doctor Who releases,
Jago and Litefoot,
Highlander, your emails and there'll be a new competition (as well as the result for last month's).
Click on the play button (to the left of this item) to stream or click on the podcast button (also to the left of this item) to go to the podcast page (to download). It's free and it's... arrived!

If you've been wondering, 'What IS all this Mervyn Stone business about?' look no further than this. Or rather, listen no further.
Special guests
Nev Fountain and
Nicola Bryant are here to introduce you to the new series of books from Big Finish. They're also introducing something else that's introducing
Mervyn Stone. Oh yes! Coming soon, there'll be a series of exclusive, Mervyn Stone podcasts featuring a real, true life murder mystery* (*that's not true, it's made up - Ed).
So take the plunge into the world of Mervyn Stone now. The books are available in October 2010 (and can be pre-ordered now at a special offer price). The preview podcasts will start arriving on the BF website in September.
And if you need a further recommendation,
David Tennant has said of the Mervyn Stone Mysteries, 'Fiendish and funny.
Columbo meets
Blake's 7 - with gags - and sex!'
