As Nick said might be the case in last week's podcast, we are sorry to have to announce a delay to the launch of our new website. At Big Finish we are always striving to make things better for you, our loyal listeners, and while in the final phase of testing the new site we realised that we had an opportunity to do just that.

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Jonathan Frid, who died peacefully last week at the age of 87. As vampire Barnabas Collins, he created a truly enduring character and cemented Dark Shadows' place as a pop culture phenomenon. Big Finish was lucky enough to work with Jonathan on the 2010 audio drama The Night Whispers, which featured his one and only return to the role that made him famous.

As Nick mentioned in a recent Podcast and those in the UK may well be aware, the British Post Office in the UK has put up its prices by a very substantial amount. In the case of first class, this rise is over 30% and for second class it’s over 38%.

To mark the release in cinemas of the new Dark Shadows film by Tim Burton, for the three days of the 11th, 12th and 13th May Big Finish will be offering some very special discounts on Dark Shadows audiobook and full cast releases. Big Finish is enormously saddened to learn of the passing of Mary Tamm, aged 62, who played Romana alongside Fourth Doctor Tom Baker.

Big Finish is delighted to announce that its licence with AudioGO to make Doctor Who on audio has been extended up to December 2015.

As of 21.04 today November 10th 2012, the news is as follows... Problems experienced by our server company in adding extra bandwidth have finally been overcome, but to ease demand, The Shadow Heart and The Return of the Rocket Men have been temporarily made unavailable.
